BEFORE THE RIDE

ATV & UTV pre-ride checklist

A reminder to use with your exact vehicle’s inspection instructions. Checking a box does not certify a vehicle is safe. Resolve defects before riding and seek qualified help when unsure.

Start a new check before each ride. Items may not apply to every vehicle; use your manual.

Use a fresh checklist for each ride

Saved boxes describe a previous check, not today’s machine condition. Start a new check before each ride, including after storage or transport. This tool remembers only box states and a date on your browser when you opt in. Clear them at any time.

Inspection reminders, not repair instructions

The list covers common visible checks and controls. Your manual determines the complete inspection, correct methods, intervals and values. Some ATVs use chains; some UTVs use CVTs, coolant or restraints. Include applicable equipment and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Never work near moving components or substitute this list for a professional inspection.
