Turn a width comparison into a trailer plan
Start with overall width and length, then measure your actual setup with mirrors, tires, roofs and bumpers. Published stock numbers cannot check gate height, interior wheel wells or tie-down access. Use Will It Fit with the Ranger XP 1000 or with the Defender HD10 to compare trailer space. A wider deck does not establish sufficient weight capacity.
Read weight and load limits fairly
Dry, curb and wet figures have different conditions. This table retains each definition and deliberately gives no weight difference when an equal basis is not established. Total vehicle payload, bed load and tow rating are separate limits. An unknown value is not zero and does not demonstrate that a machine lacks that capability. Review the complete owner’s manual and actual vehicle labels before acting on a rating.
Does more clearance mean a better vehicle?
No automatic winner is assigned. Maximum versus standard clearance, tire configuration, suspension position and load can affect the real comparison. Fuel capacity does not establish range without measured economy, and engine description does not establish acceleration. Decide which verified measurements matter to your task, then inspect the exact vehicle and operating requirements.
Sources and scope
Each machine page lists its manufacturer documents and every field’s source notes. This comparison uses those same structured records, reviewed 2026-10-05. It does not transfer specifications to other trims or neighboring years. Read our source policy and submit a documented correction if a manufacturer revision changes the record.
Can I compare different trims?
Choose any other reviewed configuration in the interactive comparison. Unreviewed trims are intentionally absent. Shareable pair URLs use that tool’s clean canonical page; they do not create another indexable article for every combination.
